Beverly Jeanne Davis
Feb. 8, 2014
PLYMOUTH — Beverly Jeanne Davis, a devoted Christian matriarch of the Davis family, is back in the arms of her lord and savior Jesus. Born in Plymouth to Albert E and Rachel Thessin, she passed away peacefully on Feb. 8, 2014. She loved her family, friends, and her church. She also was an award winning shuffleboard player, competitive, but was just as excited with other players’ success as her own. She loved all sports especially those that her children and grandchildren played; she was their biggest fan. She will be missed by all those she came in contact with.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James R. Davis, her children, James Davis wife Melody, Deborah Thomas husband Mel, Sandy Davis, Rick Davis wife Roxanne, Steve Davis wife Brenda, and Terry Davis wife Lisa. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren Cory Davis, Stacy Thomas, Nicole Burt (Michael), Adam Davis, Gregory Davis, Ricky Davis (Kylie Shafer), Randy Davis, Matthew Davis (Alicia), Kayla Krathwohl (Karl), Dawn Ickes (Casey), Dustin Cullen wife Vicki along with nine great-grandchildren Hannah Burt, Hudson Davis, Ella Davis, Ava Davis, Hayden Davis, Caythan Cullen, Lili Cullen, Rebekah Ickes and Sarah Ickes. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert E Thessin and Rachel Thessin, a brother Erwin Thessin, and a son Michael Davis.
The family invites friends to celebrate her life at the Argos United Methodist Church with visitation from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 with the service following at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor would be appreciated, to the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer, P.O. Box 80201 Fort Wayne, IN 46898-0201 or through the website, www.verabradley.org, and click on donate.
