BASS LAKE — Barrie Ann Hoskins, 75, of Bass Lake died on Monday, July 21, 2014 in her residence at Bass Lake. Barrie was born on May 2, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Herschel and Marcella Dean.
On Feb. 14, 1960 Barrie married Robert Hoskins in Indianapolis. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Susanna Circle Quilt Group in Culver. She was vice president of customer service at Carter-Hoffmann Corporation in Mundelein, Ill. Barrie was survived by her husband and best friend of 54 years. She was also survived by her mother Marcella Dean, Indianapolis; brothers Gary (Ruth) of San Jose, Calif. and Terry (Jeannie) Dean of Indianapolis; daughters Dawn (William) Oliver of Lafayette and Laureen (Michael) Cancelli of Peoria, Ariz.; son Darren (Cheryl) Hoskins of McHenry, Ill.; and five granddaughters. Per Barrie’s wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes scattered at a private ceremony. Life ceremony will be held at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 511 School St., Culver, IN 46511 at 1 p.m. EDT on Saturday, July 26, 2014. Refreshments will be offered at the church immediately following the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wesley United Methodist Church would be appreciated.
