Annual Ancilla College Golf Classic is slated for June 10
PLYMOUTH — Spring is here, and the divots will be flying once again as Ancilla hosts its annual golf classic fundraiser.
The tournament is set to take place at the Plymouth Country Club, overlooking Pretty Lake on Monday, June 10. The tournament will follow a four-person Florida scramble format.
This year’s tournament will feature a catered cook-out lunch followed by a prime rib dinner in the PCC club house after the tournament. Golfers will be welcomed at the ninth hole by the always popular Heavenly Putters, who offer the opportunity to save a stroke if a golfer gives a small donation and allows a PHJC Sister to make a putt for them.
The main goal of the tournament is to raise funds for the college to provide educational opportunities. Participants can take part in a raffle for a number of great prizes as well as an auction of at least one set of Notre Dame football tickets as well as a Diamond Getaway vacation package following the tournament. Last year, every player went home with a door prize as well.
New this year is a golf ball drop fundraiser which is open to the general public.
One winner will take home up to $1,000 if their marked ball falls into the hole. A single ball can be purchased for $5, and there are discounts for multiple ball purchases.

Individual slots are also available on teams needing to fill out their foursome. The Ancilla College Golf Classic has sold out with 40 teams for the past four years so interested parties are encouraged to sign up soon.
