Council negotiates park ordinances

May 1, 2014

BREMEN -- Much of the Bremen Town Council meeting held on Monday night consisted of discussions regarding potential ordinances placed onto the three parks manned by the Bremen Parks Department.
Originally, the hope was to create one simple fee for all park ordinances discussed in the previous council meeting; breaking a park ordinace would result in a $10-fine. However council members decided that certain possible ordinances were more fair and reasonable to park users than others.
Sale and use of tobacco products by minors will now be prohibited and those in violation will be fined.

Son buys out father's hobby store

April 23, 2014

BREMEN -- The hobby store has some not-so-new owners. Bremen Hobbies has been bought by the son of former owners Martha and Dale Heuberger, Andy- and his wife Theresa.
With the purchase, the new owners have a few changes in mind for the store. New products and an increased line are all part of the plan, just as soon as they clearance out all of the old products. Cake decorating supplies, crafting supplies and art supplies will all be gone from the store soon, to make way for even more model trains, cars and airplace sets, which is the store's biggest market.
