Plymouth holds off Triton, 7-6

April 19, 2014

PLYMOUTH — Nothing has come easy for Plymouth’s Pilgrims so far in the new baseball season, and the outcome Thursday was a 7-6 win over Triton that didn’t come without a price.
First of all a five-run Plymouth lead in the seventh wasn’t safe as the Trojans made a valiant run with two outs in the seventh, plating four runs with three two out hits, the big blow a Gabe McPherson single that plated Landon Kaufman and Jayden Hargrave and put him at second base with the game’s tying run.

Bremen rallies to beat Plymouth 7-4

April 17, 2014

PLYMOUTH — It was entirely too much Eric Knepper for Plymouth’s Pilgrims as the Bremen senior pitched and hit his team to a come from behind win at Bill Nixon Field on Wednesday night.
Knepper was 3-for-4 with a triple three RBI’s and a run scored at the plate and struck out five before leaving with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to take the win on the mound. Bremen reliever Bryce Cassel came on to record the final out and the save with the bases loaded in the seventh.
