PLYMOUTH ‚Äď Marilyn J. Lacher, 69, passed away following an extended illness at 2:57 p.m. Saturday, March 8 in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center ‚Äď Mishawaka. Marilyn is a lifetime Marshall County resident now residing in Plymouth.
Marilyn was one of three daughters born to Ernest W.M. and Mildred M. (Yockey) Davis. She was born in Plymouth on Oct. 3, 1944. Her parents would precede her in death.
John W. Funk

PLYMOUTH ‚ÄĒ John William Funk, 32, a resident of Plymouth, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning, March 7, 2014.
Born in Marietta, Ga., John is the son of Fred O. and Kathy D. (Hembree) Funk, who survive. He was a 2000 graduate of Plymouth High School, lettering all four years in wrestling. He studied at Ball State University for two years in criminal justice.
John joined the U.S. Army in 2002, serving our country in Iraq for 16 months. He was honorably discharged on Aug. 12, 2005.

PLYMOUTH ‚ÄĒ Henry ‚ÄúHank‚ÄĚ Ray Mansfield, 82, died March 7, 2014 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
Arrangements are pending with the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth.
MARSHALL COUNTY ‚ÄĒ The Emergency Management Agency just issued the following winter storm watch for tomorrow into Wednesday, based on predictions from the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana has issued a Winter Storm Watch which is in effect from late Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon.
Snow is expected to develop around midnight Tuesday and continue into Wed. morning. The snow is forecast to taper off by late Wednesday morning or early Wednesday afternoon.
PLYMOUTH ‚ÄĒ St. Michael's held a 'Wine and Canvas' event Friday to raise money for technology upgrades.

TIPPECANOE‚ÄĒ A Bourbon man who is an employee of the Tippecanoe School District was arrested Friday by Indiana State Police. The charges stem from two incidents in which alcohol was given to a 15-year-old student.

PLYMOUTH ‚ÄĒ Nellie E. Long, 90, a Plymouth resident most of her life, passed away at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Kindred Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Bremen.
She was born in Sheldon, Wis. on Sept. 5, 1923 to Oral G. and Anna G. Schrader Murray. She graduated from Plymouth Lincoln High School with the class of 1941.
On June 4, 1946 in Knox, Nellie married Joseph U. Long. He would precede her in death on June 19, 2008.
