Thumper Road annexation discussed

October 10, 2014

LAPAZ — Annexation is the topic in Lapaz.

City Attorney Anthony Wagner discussed the annexation of Thumper Trail and surrounding properties with town council members yesterday. He was concerned whether the property owners on Thumper Trail were voluntarily asked if they wanted to be part of annexation. He stated that he had heard from other municipalities that had forced annexation that those residents were unhappy with the situation.

Member Rodger Ecker stated that many of the residents had come during a previous meeting to express their desire to be annexed.
