Livestock violating city ordinance

PLYMOUTH —In what became a contentious discussion during the Plymouth Common council meeting Monday, homeowner Janice Treesh and her husband Dale, along with friend Eileen Price, spoke to the board about a violation of the code of ordinances concerning the keeping of livestock within the city limits.
Changes in zoning for Treesh's property has caused issues with the family's sustainability plans. In today's Pilot News all the details of the meeting are available.

PLYMOUTH — Evelyn Lucille Jones, 87, of Plymouth, died June 20, 2014 at 5:44 a.m. at her residence. She had been in declining health.
She was born on Feb. 23, 1927 in Plymouth to Elson and Edna Faye (Seymour) Reed. She has lived in the Marshall County area almost all of her life.
She married Denver E. Jones on Dec. 24, 1948 at the Walnut Church of the Brethren in Argos. She was a housewife/homemaker.

Etna Green boil advisory lifted

June 20, 2014

ETNA GREEN — A Boil Water Advisory was issued for Etna Green on June 18. Since then the distribution problem has been corrected. Bacteriological samples have been collected from representative site(s) of the affected area and tested. The test results were satisfactory and it is no longer necessary to boil the water.

Body recovered fromYellow River

PLYMOUTH — The body of a man was found about 7:30 p.m. according to a brief press release issued late Thursday by the Marshall County Coroner's office.

The victim has not been identified and no further details are available at this time.

An autopsy is scheduled for today.

KOKOMO — Ruth Ellen Fisher, passed away at home on June 14, 2014 in Kokomo. Ruth Ellen was born on Sept. 23, 1918 back a long lane on her maternal grandfather Bruno Brunenmiller’s section of land in northeastern Howard Co. to Clarence W. and Dorothy (Colescott) Fawcett.

PLYMOUTH — Nathan J. Rhodes, 62, of Plymouth, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, June 11, 2014.
Nathan was born on June 24, 1951 in Plymouth and was the son of Ervin G. Rhodes and Kathryn (Meek) Rhodes. Nathan attended Plymouth schools before he enlisted for the United States Army.

PLYMOUTH — Russell Lee Nifong, 33, passed away Tuesday at 11:05 a.m. at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth after suffering a long illness. 
He was born on Jan. 4, 1981 in Plymouth, the son of Ross H. Nifong and Nancy J. (Yelton) Martin. Russell attended Plymouth Schools where he graduated in 1999. He then went on to continue his education at Ancilla College.
