PLYMOUTH — Longtime educator and businessman, Howard K. Menser, 85, passed away early Wednesday morning, Nov. 5, 2014 at the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.
A lifetime Marshall County resident, Howard was born on May 6, 1929 in Plymouth, the son of Jesse and Esther (Wright) Menser. He graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1948 and from Ball State University with an education degree in 1952. He taught in the Plymouth School’s industrial arts department and junior high math from 1955-1958.

QUINCY, Ill. — Rebecca Sue Castleman Warren died at 6:50 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 at Sunset Home in Quincy, Ill. Becky had lived at Sunset Home for the past five months as she battled against acute leukemia.
She was born on Feb. 15, 1930 in Argos to Ernest and Mary (Feikert) Castleman. A 1948 graduate of Argos High School, Becky was married to Walter R. Warren in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 19, 1949.
A resident of Quincy for over 50 years, she was retired from the Dietary Department at Blessing Hospital.

PLYMOUTH — Max L. Hines, 66, of Plymouth, passed away Friday morning in the Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born in Miller, S.D. on Nov. 4, 1947, Max was the son of LaVerne and Elaine Hines-Lingscheit. He graduated from Miller High School and went on to attend Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D., graduating with his Bachelor of Science and Business.
In 1971, Max joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Berlin, Germany for most of his time. He served in the Army Security Agency and was Honorably discharged in March of 1975.

BREMEN — Keith A. Berger, 70, of Juniper Road, Bremen, passed away Sunday evening following an illness. For Keith a lifetime of farming the family homestead came to a rest at 8:46 p.m., at home in the company of his family. 
Born in Bremen on Jan. 30, 1944, Keith is the son of the late Fred M. and Treva L. (Barts) Berger.
Keith was a 1962 graduate of Bremen High School where he was involved in FFA, football, basketball, track and also found the time to play sax in the marching band.
