The Battle of Ohio had some playoff implications for the first time in years. Cleveland took sole possession of first place in the AFC North after a dominating victory over Cincinnati. Cincinnati QB Andy Dalton had the worst performance of his career as he went 10-33 for 86 yards and 3 interceptions. This resulted in a quarterback rating of 2. As for Cleveland, this marks the latest in the season they have been in first place since 1994.

Southwire Company, a wire and cable manufacturer, announced plans to expand its operations here, creating up to 105 new jobs by 2016.
The Georgia-based company, which purchased Illinois-based Coleman Cable in February, will invest $2.1 million to purchase and equip a new 48,000 square-foot facility in Bremen.

BOURBON â Joel âJoeâ L. Reichert, 74, of Bourbon, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.
Joe was born Feb. 9, 1940 at Plymouth to Carl and Kathryn (Roll) Reichert. He was a lifelong resident of the Bourbon area graduating from Bourbon High School, class of 1958. Joe married Mary Hannah on Feb. 28, 2004, she survives.

ROCHESTER â James Franklin Davis, 87, formerly of Rochester, died at 2 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 6, at Missions Trail Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

PLYMOUTH â Longtime educator and businessman, Howard K. Menser, 85, passed away early Wednesday morning, Nov. 5, 2014 at the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.
A lifetime Marshall County resident, Howard was born on May 6, 1929 in Plymouth, the son of Jesse and Esther (Wright) Menser. He graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1948 and from Ball State University with an education degree in 1952. He taught in the Plymouth Schoolâs industrial arts department and junior high math from 1955-1958.
