Information session on "Saving our Schools"

October 27, 2014

BOURBON – Proposed legislation may do away with small school districts, such as Argos, Culver Community, Triton and LaVille - any school district with less than 2,000 students.

That is the reason that Triton Superintendent Donna Burroughs is stepping up and hosting an information session on the legislation and what it will mean for Marshall County.

Burroughs announced a public meeting entitled “The Challenges of Education in America: The War on Public Schools” to be held at the Triton Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m.

Area runners close at New Prairie Semistate

October 27, 2014

NEW CARLISLE — Hey, at least they were there.
After all, several times this season, another semistate appearance for the Plymouth girls cross country team looked like no sure thing.
With that in mind, finishing 20th during Saturday’s tournament at New Prairie High School was nothing to be upset about, though the Pilgrims surely wanted to do better.
Also finishing up were the boys and girls teams from Culver Academies. They placed 15th and 13th, respectively.
