ROCHESTER — Donald A. Stephenson, 69, of rural Rochester, passed away at 6 a.m., Monday, March 24, 2014 at his residence after being ill since last July.
He was born June 25, 1944 in Princeton to Coen E. and Marie (Carwile) Stephenson.
On April 21, 1990 in Plymouth, he was married to Verna R. Weiger; she survives.
Donald was a supervisor for Lau Industries of Rochester retiring at the age of 62. He also had worked for Reynolds Metals in Bourbon.

PLYMOUTH — Rex L. “Clipp” Clippinger, 79, passed away unexpectedly at 3:51 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the Saint Joseph Hospital, Plymouth Campus.
Born in South Bend on Oct. 12, 1934, Rex was the son of Lawrence W. Clippinger and Elsie M. (Whisman) Phillabaum. He graduated from Jimtown High School with the class of 1953.
Rex served in Germany as a radio technician for the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged on Aug. 7, 1957.
He attended college in Indianapolis, where he attained his barber license.

PLYMOUTH — Wanda A. Lowry, 92, of Plymouth, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014 in the Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
Born in Sevastopol on Dec. 10, 1921, Wanda was the daughter of Marion and Icie D. (Igo) Taylor. She attended Beaver Dam School.
Wanda married Johnny A. Lowry on June 6, 1939.

BREMEN — David E. Schutz, 59, of Bremen passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014. David was born to Lawrence and Joan (Wise) Schutz on April 21, 1954. David graduated with the Bremen High School class of 1972 and he married Melonee Buckner on Oct. 12, 1974. David worked for Hop Cap and was currently employed with AM General. He was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, singing in the choir and serving on the Properties Committee. David was an avid mushroom hunter and enjoyed collecting 8 tracks and gardening.

BREMEN — Frances Louise Sherman, 92, of Bremen, passed away at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014 in Bremen Community Hospital, Bremen. She was born on June 11, 1921 in Piqua, Ohio to Carl and Margaret (Collins) Croft. On Nov. 7, 1960 in South Bend, she married Raymond L. Sherman, who died in April of 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Penny D. Auckerman (Jan. 28, 2013), a grandson, Gordon S. Lamberson (Jan. 28, 1989), and a brother, Leonard C. Croft.
