PLYMOUTH ‚ÄĒ Henry F. ‚ÄúHank‚ÄĚ Hartwell, 89, a Plymouth resident most of his life, passed away at 4:46 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2012 in Florida Heartland Hospital, Sebring, Fla.
Hank was born Jan. 27, 1922 in North Vernon. He was raised in the Bright-Side Orphanage in Plymouth, and considered Leo and Stella Manuwal his mom and dad. He was a graduate of Plymouth High School.
He was a veteran of WWII, enlisting in the U.S. Navy Sept. 12, 1942 and was discharged Dec. 11, 1945.

OSCEOLA ‚ÄĒ Loneda M. ‚ÄúGranny‚ÄĚ Robinson, 92, of Osceola, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2012 at St. Joseph‚Äôs Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. Loneda was born Feb. 14, 1919 in Marshall County to the late Henry and Amelia (Birk) Hummel. In September of 1937, she married Marion C. Robinson. He preceded her in death, passing away June 16, 1956.

PLYMOUTH ‚ÄĒ John F. Botset, 72, Plymouth, died at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra L. Dixon; daughter: Dawna (Blane) Embree of Plymouth; two sons: John W. (Sue) Botset of Rochester and Todd A. (Carrie) Botset of Walkerton, eight grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

GILMAN, Ill. ‚ÄĒ¬†Arthur R. Haug Jr., 74, of Gilman, Ill., formerly of Plymouth, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 in Watseka, Ill. Mr. Haug was born in Chicago Oct. 5, 1937 to Arthur and Florence (Goze) Haug. At an early age, his family moved to Plymouth from Chicago. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving four years. He married Betty Miller Oct. 12, 1958 in Donaldson and together they raised two children.

ARGOS ‚ÄĒ¬†Lynda Lee (Snyder) Bennett, 51, of 17607 Kenilworth Road, Argos, died Jan. 1, 2012 at 5:58 p.m. at Indiana University Health ‚ÄĒ Goshen Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 4, 1960 in Plymouth to Marvin L. and Nyla J. (Irwin) Snyder. She has lived in the Argos community all of her life.
Aug. 5, 2000 in Plymouth, she married LeeRoy C. Bennett.
She was a homemaker and Grandma. She attended the Argos United Methodist Church, Argos, and was a graduate of Argos High School class of 1979.

LAKEVILLE ‚ÄĒ¬†Helen A. Gillis, 95, of Lakeville died Jan. 3, 2012.
She is survived by five grandchildren; sons-in-law, Dale Beeman and William Newcomb; and foster son, Dale Craft.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012 in the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, 25075 Stanton Road, North Liberty. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the church and one hour prior Saturday.
Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville is handling the arrangements.

WINONA LAKE ‚ÄĒ¬†Glenna Irene Shuter, 85, of Winona Lake passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011 at 8:13 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.
She was born Dec. 13, 1926 in Plymouth to Glenn Sherer and Dessie (Shadley) Sherer. Sept. 3, 1944 she was married to Virgil Shuter, who preceded her in death in 2005.
Glenna was a 1944 graduate of Aurora High School in Aurora, with a Steno Bookkeeping Civil Service Degree.
She was a self-employed hairdresser for many years retiring in 1988.

PLYMOUTH ‚ÄĒ¬†Mary Ellen (Workman) Hite-Haag Davis passed away at Miller‚Äôs Merry Manor in Plymouth, Dec. 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. She was born in Ober, July 20, 1923. May 1, 1940 she married Raymond Hite; they later were divorced after 26 years.
Mary is survived by four children ‚ÄĒ John Hite and wife Jean of Hurst, Texas; Sherry Hite of Oakland, Calif.; Rick Hite and wife Janice of Plymouth; and Carl Hite of Rochester; daughter-in-law Joyce Moore of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
