PLYMOUTH âÂ Mary Lou Wise, 83, of Plymouth, passed away, Sunday, April 27, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Mary Lou was born in Franklin, on Dec. 26, 1930. She was the daughter of Harold and Marcella (Prithard) Cobb. She graduated from high school in Whiteland, in May of 1948. Mary Lou attended Indiana-Purdue Campus, in Indianapolis, for two years. She moved to Plymouth, from Indianapolis, in 1953. Roger Wise and Mary Lou were united in marriage in April of 1967, in Whiteland.

THE VILLAGES, Fla. âÂ Grover âJuniorâ Heyde, 83, passed away at 5:25 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at The Villages Hospice House, The Villages, Fla. Mr. Heyde was born on July 14, 1930 in Lakeville to the late Grover and Edna (Claybaugh) Heyde. He has lived most of his life in Lakeville. On Aug. 5, 1951 in Lakeville, he married Nellie Dowell who preceded in death on Dec. 10, 2007. Mr. Heyde was self-employed in farming and worked for the Bremen Foundry for 37 years.

He was born in South Bend on Nov. 4, 1971 to David Combs and Connie (Flecker) Combs, and has remained a lifelong area resident.

WALKERTON âÂ Norma Jane Wilson, 84, went home to the Lord on Sunday, April 27, 2014. She was greeted by her husband of nearly 60 years, Ralph E. Wilson, who had passed away Feb. 4, 2007. Her beaming smile had greeted many at Millerâs Merry Manor in Walkerton, where she resided.

PLYMOUTH â Plymouthâs Pilgrims and the Goshen Redskins started out trying to beat the rain for an NLC game at Bill Nixon Field on Monday night. In the end they were trying to beat the dawn.
When Brandon Milliganâs RBI single to right drove home Jarrod Ellis with the Pilgrims the winning run in a 3-2 final, it was after 10 p.m. and 17 innings after the start. The bottom line was 17 innings of outstanding pitching that resulted in 14 scoreless innings and 17 combined strikeouts from five pitchers in the game.
Bremen falls to New Prairie
Bremenâs baseball team dropped an 11-5 decision to NSC foe New Prairie Monday night in Bremen.
Eric Knepper took the loss on the mound, his first of the year. He also doubled in the loss.
