PLYMOUTH â€” Debra A. Reed, 58, a lifetime Plymouth resident, passed away following a courageous battle against cancer on Wednesday morning at her home with her loving family and friends by her side.
The daughter of Lowell A. and Betty J. (Games) Sickmiller, Deb was born on July 11, 1955, in Plymouth. She was a member of the 1973 graduating class at John Glenn High School.

PLYMOUTH â€”Â Linda L. Anders, 69, residing in Plymouth, passed away at 12:12 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014 in Signature Healthcare of South Bend. She was born Feb. 26, 1945 in LaPorte to the late Harry and Sylvia (Branham) Cummins.

PLYMOUTH â€” On the afternoon of Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, Donald E. Towle passed away peacefully of natural causes. Don was comforted by his family members, around the clock, at the Somers Hospice House in Sebring, Fla., at the time of his passing. Don was 76 years old.
Don was born Jan. 19, 1938, to George H. and Helen (Bowen) Towle in Plymouth. He attended West High School and graduated in 1956. Don loved all sports and especially basketball during his high school years.

PLYMOUTH â€” The Lady Pilgrims saved their best for last. Their last home meet, that is.
Plymouth gymnastics notched a team score of 103.25, just .4 of a point shy of the school record as the Pilgrims earned a split with Peru and Logansport in their final home meet of the season Thursday.
No. 3-ranked Logan won the three-way with a 105.5 score, while Plymouth placed just 2.25 back and Peru rounded out the meet with a 34.4 score.
â€śWeâ€™re on our way to sectionals. Weâ€™re at the peak,â€ť said PHS head coach Jana Lyon.
PLYMOUTH â€” It wasnâ€™t pretty at times but it was basketball, and it was senior night, and it was a win as Plymouth defeated Wawasee 52-42 in their final regular season home game.
â€śTonight was an ugly game thatâ€™s Wawaseeâ€™s plan,â€ť said Plymouth head coach Ryan Bales. â€śThey knew they were undermanned at a few positions and they had a great game plan. They slowed us down. Over the course of the game we started to gain some energy, we started to get some hustle plays and that was a great thing for our team.â€ť

MARSHALL COUNTY â€” The National Weather Service has kept the wind chill warning issued yesterday in place until 11 a.m. this morning. Bitterly cold conditions continue, followed by snow accumulations later this weekend.
High pressure centered over Michigan overnight has allowed temperatures to fall below zero over much of the area with calm winds. As the high moves east this morning, winds will gradually increase, causing wind chills to fall to around 10 degrees below zero. With the expected temperature rise, the wind chill advisory is not expected to continue.

PLYMOUTH â€”Â Gloria June Artist, age 68, of Plymouth, passed away at 12:25 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, in Mishawaka.
Gloria was born on Aug. 15, 1945, in Culver, to Clifford and Lela (Duddleson) Bean. She became the bride of Ira Artist on Nov. 17, 1963. Together they raised their four children. Gloria previously operated a press at BPC in Plymouth. Her greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed being a homemaker and a mother.Â
