PLYMOUTH/MARSHALL COUNTY â€” A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. this evening to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan.1.
Snow is expected to spread throughout the area this evening and persist through Wednesday. Accumulations during this time will range from 2 to 5 inches.
Roads will become snow covered, slick, and hazardous late this evening and into Wednesday. Visibilities will also be limited. This will make travel across the area difficult.
Additional snow is possible Wednesday night and into Thursday.
LAPAZ/LAKEVILLE â€” A 24-year-old man from Bicknell, Ind. died Monday night about 8 p.m. in an automobile accident on US 31 just south of Tyler Road. The accident occurred near LaVille Elementary.
The victim, Tyler O'Hara, is believed to have died instantaneously from blunt force trauma, Marshall County Coroner William Cleavenger said in a press release issued at 4 a.m. today.
Anaother person, as yet unidentified, was flown by helicopter from the scene to a South Bend trauma center, according to reports.
The accident remains under investigation.

PLYMOUTHâ€” Alice Gertrude Taylor, 90, a resident at Millerâ€™s Merry Manor, Plymouth passed away there on Saturday morning, Dec. 28, 2013.
Born in Donaldson on Feb. 24, 1923, she is the daughter of Harry Lloyd and Ida Louise (Knope) Rinker. She graduated from Union Township High School in LaPorte with the class of 1941.
Aliceâ€™s first job was working in the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant during WWII. During that time she met Norman Eugene Taylor, and the couple would get married on Sept. 9, 1953 in LaPorte.
Marva Jane Hill

PLYMOUTH â€” Marva Jane Hill, 74, passed away at 5:25 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 in the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth where she had made her home for the past two years.
She was born at the family home in Inwood during a blizzard on Jan. 29, 1939, the daughter of Marvin Glenn and Oreanna Beatrice (Amones) Anders. She attended LaPaz High School with the class of 1956.
On Feb. 3, 1957 at Inwood, she became the bride of Jess Willard Hill. He would precede her in death on Dec. 26, 1989.

FROSTPROOF, Fla. â€”Â Byron (Barney) Dickson, age 75, of Frostproof, Fla., formerly of Lakeville, died Dec. 20, 2013.
He was born Dec. 9, 1938 to William and Edna Dickson.
He is survived by four daughters; brothers William and Richard (Betty) and sisters Wilma LeClercq, Betty (Ralph) Kelly and Linda (Max) King.
He was preceded in death by sister Deloris Murphy and brother Robert Dickson.

ARGOS â€”Â Daniel Owen Good, 70, of Argos, passed away Dec. 27, 2013 at 12:46 a.m. at his residence. He had been in declining health for several months.
He was born Jan. 13, 1943 in LaPorte to Richard Allen Good and Leta Eleanor (Cox) Good. He has lived in the Argos community most of his life.
On May 24, 1997 in Kenton, Ohio he married Judy Kay Thompson.
Dan worked for the Rail Road for 14 years and then went to work for Golden Giant Building Systems (Steel Buildings) in Kenton, Ohio as a salesman.

MUNSTER â€” Rev. Alfred Dettmer, age 83, of Munster passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013.
He is survived by his loving sister: Sister Richilde Dettmer PHJC of Donaldson; three sisters-in-law: Irene (Late Clemen) Dettmer of Crestwood, Ill., Irene (Late Leonard) Dettmer of St. Charles, Ill., and Anna (Late John) Dettmer of Plymouth; many loving nieces and nephews; and dearest friend and caregiver: Villa Mockiene and her son Matas.
He was preceded in death by six loving brothers: Theophil, Aloysius, Clement, Edmund, John, and Leonard.
